65mm Billet Throttle Body

The throttle body is the first restriction to your intake manifold, and these billet throttle bodies look good while creating the best drivability and performance possible. 65mm has been the benchmark for 3400 engines, and works equally well on the LG8 3100 engines as well.  The round opening makes it easier to install the intake tubing, and includes a lip for the clamp to hold against (great for boosted apps).  New bearings for the shaft and a tight clearance between the plate and bore mean no idle issues.  Stainless hardware included to install the TPS and IAC.

To complete your throttlebody,directions can be found on the 60degreev6.com site here.  If you would like a completed unit minus sensors, you can select the option for complete, and type in the year/model/engine (ex. 99 grand am 3400) next to Vehicle.  The coolant lines to the throttle body will need to be bypassed and the kit to do this is available. 

	Bare units include an anodized throttle plate and a stainless bolt to hold the cable bracket.

While a 65mm on a stock 3100 won't cause a great deal of fuss, it is important to note that the larger you go, flow is exponentially increased. Going to a 70mm TB and even 75 has been proven to produce equal or slightly better performance gains, but the drawback is a touchy gas pedal that makes street driving more difficult. For this reason, TCE has made a 68mm for those that think 65mm is not quite enough. Available through WOT-Tech by special request only.
