This service is for those that want to tune their vehicle, but know nothing about tuning. Whether you are modifying the stock engine or swapping to another 60V6 engine, this service will get you as close to optimal as possible without a dyno tune.
Common applications: Engine swaps, Top End swaps (3400 top end on a 3.1 for example), Modifications (porting, cam, headers, injectors, etc).
Requirements: You must have a laptop, ALDL cable, Tuner Pro R/T, and a chip burner. No chips will be mailed for this service. You must be using the GM 1227727/1227730 for non "E" transmissions, and the 16149396 computer for "E" transmission (91-93 3.4 DOHC and 93 W body 3.1 originally).
Base price includes starting point for tune on a 27SF512 chip, memcal adapter, and basic support. Basic support includes tuning updates based on datalog feedback and user feedback for fueling, spark, shift points where applicable, and drivability functions for stock engine swaps, port work, mild/street cam upgrade, and modifications that can run on the stock engine's injectors. This means stock 3400 injectors on a 3400 based engine swap. Extra charges apply to larger injectors, bigger cam, long tube headers, etc. Essentially, the more difficult and time consuming the tuning becomes, the more it will cost.
To avoid problems, please make sure your vehicles has had all regular maintenance and tune ups performed. Tuning for a bad fuel filter will require more tuning once this is fixed, and will not be free. Some sensor functions can be seen in datalogs, such as O2 and TPS feedback. IAC funtion may be reported but not phyically changed. Fouled plugs may also cause problem.
